Surespek to Deliver Digital Video services to Woodside

SureSpek of Western Australia, an Inspection, Maintenance & Repair (IMR) consultancy and services company, have recently placed an order in excess of US$100,000, with NETmc Marine in Scotland, for a complete range of digital video recorders. The order has been placed to fulfil SureSpek's contractual commitments to Australia's largest publicly traded oil and gas exploration and production company Woodside.

A spokesman for NETmc Marine said "Over the last 18 months we have made a large impact in the North Sea and beyond with the DVR Inspector, however over the last 6 months we have concentrated on the pipeline market, which is really just going digital. We demonstrated the DVR Pro to Woodside last year, after they had decided to use the DVR Inspector, and they were impressed with the ease of use and integration to third party software packages. This allowed them to work with SureSpek, their preferred supplier of inspection services, to provide a tailored product for them. We are delighted Woodside and SureSpek have selected NETmc Marine products for their digital video solution."

The order includes the DVR Pro, NETmc Marines pipeline inspection-recording system that synchronises the playback of the typical three ROV camera views of a pipeline survey. Also included in the sale is an SDK (software development kit) which will enable Surespek to interface its SIMS package, a computerised data acquisition and reporting system for pipelines, to the DVR Pro allowing the user to jump to any point of the video during review.

Other items purchased are the DVR Inspector, a direct replacement for the VCR which has been interfaced to a number of Integrity Management packages, and the DVR Peli, NETmc Marines fully integrated portable DVR for use in remote sites or smaller operations.
